Open deck, dry van or reefer — you pick the lane. Rates run up to 80 CPM on dry van, 82 on reefer and 90 on flatbed/stepdeck, or take 30% of gross instead. Average is $2,200–$3,000+ a week on 3,500+ miles, all miles paid loaded and empty. This is a 1099 position and a FEIN/EIN is required.
Accessorials are real money here: $50 per extra stop, $25/hour detention after three hours, $100 layover per 24 hours, $50 tarp pay, plus DOT inspection bonuses of $500 (Level 1 clean), $250 (Level 2) and $100 (Level 3).
Equipment is 2022–2026 Freightliner Cascadia, automatic, governed 68 mph, with Samsara ELD, dual dash cameras, ComData fuel card (Love's), I-Pass, APU, fridge and inverter. Yard is Lake in the Hills, IL. Note this carrier runs mandatory dispatch.
Escrow is $1,250 taken over five weeks; occupational insurance is $179/month. Flights, hotel and bus transportation to orientation are covered, and rental cars are reimbursed. Referral bonus is $1,500 for open deck/reefer drivers and $1,000 for dry van.
