CDL-A OTR Dry Van Driver — $0.75–$0.80 CPM | Chicago, IL

Dry van and tanker freight, 75–80 CPM based on experience, averaging 3,000–3,500 miles a week. Clean inspection bonuses run $100–$300, and detention, layover and extra stops are paid. Weekly settlements, 1099 independent contractor.

Tanker and Hazmat endorsements are required — but if you don't have Hazmat yet and you're committed to getting it, the company covers the fee. A clean criminal record is required for hazmat clearance.

Runs all 48 states except New York and New Jersey, and does run California. Freight is mostly smaller pickup and delivery facilities — first come, first served, with few appointment-based stops.

Trucks are 2024–2026 Peterbilt and Kenworth running up to 72 mph, equipped with fridge, microwave and inverter. Two company yards, California and Chicago. Escrow is $1,000, held back at $200 a week for five weeks. Orientation is one day Monday–Friday, drug test first, then you fly out — flights, transport and hotel paid.
